The Integrated Cargo Carrier was used to accommodate and support the transfer of exterior cargo from the Space Shuttle orbiter to the International Space Station and from the station to work sites on the truss assemblies.

The Integrated Cargo Carrier (ICC) and it’s variants was used for 12 flights of the Space Shuttle.  The ICC platforms were designed, built, deployed and worked flawlessly for over a decade.  Here is a short video showing the ICC being mounted back in the Shuttle on mission STS-132:
